Plus the interior of a black car, even with the doors open gets toasty. I believe a little humidity in the carpet will evaporate off, it's the leaking and puddling that is the problem. I gave the vehicle a good hosing with water and there was no water on the floor.

Volvo V50 - DPF Identification - craig-pd130. I'm fairly sure that the 5-cylinder Volvo diesel engines in the D5 all use a catalyst-coated DPF (no Eolys fluid needed) which is meant to last the car's lifetime. I believe it was the models using the Focus-sourced 2.0 TDCI 4-cylinder lump that had the additive-based DPF system.
The Radian is narrower and you can still have your child rear facing! I have owned both a Subaru wagon and a Volvo V70 Cross Country. I live in the Northeast and I actually liked the Subaru better. The Volvo was horrible when it came to installing car seats (the latch connectors are buried!) and we had problems with mud/ice buildup in the tires.
