Being a 1.0 ECOboost it is more than likely that there are 2 actual problems: 1: O2 related DTC codes are often caused by a defective catalytic converter. This is quite a common problem on a 1.0 ECOboost. A defective O2 sensor is a lot less common.
The only reason why Ford arranged the recall for the 1.6 ECOboost is because of safety reasons. There is no technical reason for the recall.
