Ford Model: MK2 Focus LX Hatchback 1.6 Petrol Manual. Ford Year: 2006. UK/Ireland Location: London. Posted March 27, 2022. I recently realised that the protective cover for the GEM unit in my Mk2 footwell is missing. Am I correct that there should be a black plastic panel with holes in, and another piece of carpet covered plastic that fits on
There is also a sensor for remote entry in the roof above the interior light. There should be a blank on the lower steering column cowling (where the ignition switch would be), if you can't get the car to start remove the blank and insert the key into the dock, you should get ignition then. Ford Model: Fiesta. Ford Year: 2006. UK/Ireland Location: Other/NonUK. Posted September 1, 2013. Just change the GEM and program the fob key with the GEM and you are good to go. Turn the key from pos 2 to pos 1 for 4 times. The GEM beeps and then press any button on the fob, it should beep back and you are done :) Quote.
I have a Ford Focus ST MK2 (Focus II), so I will be using this to explain how this is used. Press the “Open Port” button, and the ELM will connect to your car. This is the main screen of ELMConfig – Along the left hand side is the main module navigation, with the Low CAN & High CAN modules.
The Body Control Module (BCM) could be considered a central organizational module for your vehicle. It streamlines the manufacturing and troubleshooting aspects of electronic modules by housing the modules into one, central unit instead of each function having its own device.
