I had On Tour on DS and GH4/World Tour with the full band kit on PS3 at the time and I'd say On Tour overall felt like a tutorial or huge mini game compared. The hardest maps weren't all that hard because it's only 4 buttons, and iirc whammy distortion was automatic.

If you're using an original DS, make sure you have the right adapter in. The Lite adapter is attached to the grip when you first buy it, and the original DS adapter is packaged seperately in the box. When you're playing the game on an original DS, you'll have to unscrew it and screw in the original DS adapter.
